'Pet Shop Days' headed for Venice Film Festival
Olmo Schnabel’s gritty NYC drama/thriller Pet Shop Days premieres at Venice Film Festival on September 3rd. Written by Schnabel, Galen Core and Jack Irv, the film tells the story of two young men falling down a rabbit hole of rebellious desire – one running from a traumatic incident and a bitter authoritarian father, the other a privileged drifter in search of himself. PSD stars Jack Irv, Dario Yazbek Bernal, Willem Dafoe and Peter Sarsgaard. The film is produced by MeMo Films and Twin Productions, and Executive Produced by Martin Scorsese (!) among many more.

The first 10 episodes of Season 2 of the hysterical and heartwarming animated comedy Big Nate drop July 7th on Paramount +. This show LOVES big 80s/90s/00s needle-drops to compliment the fantastic score from Frederick Wiedmann. I cherish every opportunity I get to covertly get all of my favorite music into the ears and brains of kids all over the World - Big Nate is the perfect Trojan Horse.

Katie Aselton’s hilarious ‘Mack & Rita’ opens in theaters August 12th, starring Diane Keaton, Taylour Paige, Elizabeth Lail, Simon Rex and Loretta Devine. A24 brings Sean Baker’s hilarious dark comedy Red Rocket to theaters on December 10th. Look for some huge *NSYNC placements, plenty of strip club vibes, 00’s nu-metal, and pop country gems. So basically the wild, genre-jumping soundtrack of every Sean Baker film. Music supervising this film was a blast - check it out and tell me what you think about the scene where Mikey runs through the town at night naked!

Matt has been nominated for an award by the Guild of Music Supervisors in the category ‘Best Music Supervision - Reality Television’ for his work on the HBO Max series ‘Legendary.’ The virtual 11th Annual Awards ceremony will take place on Sunday April 11th, 2021. Matt's newest series 'My House' premiers on VICELAND Wednesday, April 25th at 10pm. This documentary series follows several key members of the NYC ballroom/vogue scene and highlights the amazing music, dance and personalities in this niche community. The 10 episode season features an amazing original theme by ballroom stars Byrell the Great and Precious Ramirez.

Matt has been nominated for 'Outstanding Music Supervision - Film' for his work on The Florida Project by the Hollywood Music in Media Awards. In their 8th year, this annual celebration honors the top music in film, television, video games, commercials and trailers. Up against some of the absolute best films of the year - including Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Baby Driver, Fifty Shades Darker and Lady Bird - this should be an extremely entertaining category!
SHADE: QUEENS OF NYC DEBUTS ON FUSION
